Hike to Dumbanagala Peak in the Knuckles Mountain Range

Dumbanagala Peak (1651M) is one of the main peaks of Knuckles Mountain range located in the eastern slope. Trail is not properly marked but possible to do the hike. Hikers must hike through a pine forest with a steep climb then suddenly it diverts towards open grassland. This initial part is the difficult part of the climb. Once you pass the open grassland up to the top, it will be a nice walk through the sub montane forests of the Knuckles range. Some spectacular views are on offer for the hikers. Once you reach the Dumbanagala peak it offers a 360-degree viewpoint with some majestic sceneries of Knuckles Mountain Range.
