Who are we as Safari Guides (Rangers)? The dictionary describe as ‘people who advise others, especially in matters of behavior on an expedition to observe animals in their natural habitat’
Our experienced team will facilitate the visit and give enough information and service on how the travellers can ultimately enjoy one place.
As Safari Guides we try to give the whole rounded experience. Not just focus on the obvious larger animals such as the Big 3, Sri Lankan Elephant, Sri Lankan Leopard and Sloth Bear.
Hence we try to install the focus on the interactions between species. And also how to protect the wilderness that we work in. And above all to understand how each of the creatures, from the smallest insects to the largest herbivores, plays a vital role in keeping it healthy.
Why choose Sri Lanka as your Safari Destination?
Sri Lanka is the best safari destination outside Africa. And it makes sense to maintain a ‘symmetry of phrase’ as the large continent of Africa and the tiny island of Sri Lanka are Big Game Safari Counterparts.
Outside Africa no other country or continent can boast of five, big charismatic animals. (3 on the land and 2 in the sea). Which also offer a good strike rate and chance to see all of them in one trip. – Gehan De Silva Wijeyeratne – leading naturalist in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is one of the top bio-diverse countries in the world. It has a high number of fauna and flora species in terms of density of species and their endemicity.
Camping is a great way to experience and explore native wildlife. Through our campsites you can enjoy the spectacular views of the jungle. Further more you can listen to the bird calls, alarm calls of deer’s and many other behavior patterns of animals.
Furthermore, out of the 26 national parks in Sri Lanka we operate in four major national parks.
