Bird Watching in Bundala National Park – The Bundala National Park has been identified as an outstanding important bird area in the South Indian and Sri Lankan wetlands. It is also the home of about 197 species of bird, also which 58 are migratory. Park vegetation comprises of lagoons, saltpans, seashore, grass flats, scrubland, dry mixed evergreen forest small tanks. Above all, this is also known as an important wintering ground for migrant birds
