Fantastic experience; we climbed Adams Peak via a jungle trail (instead of stairs all the way) as a family and Dhanushka and crew were just fantastic. His knowledge of the area, flora, fauna and history were just amazing. Our two teenage girls were a bit squeamish about the leeches and the jungle but the guides took great care of them and they ultimately had a great time (as we did!). Thanks so much for a great day out.
Six of us went for Single Tree Hill trekking last week and for some of the girls it was their very first trekking experience. Dhanushka and the team were very attentive, fun and helpful. They have great knowledge of the surrounding area to a tee and they are passionate about nature it was heartwarming to see. To top it off, after the trek they still brought us to a local’s house for delicious snacks and tea/coffee. Champion. Thank you very much for making our trip memorable! Ps: a BIG bonus - Dhanushka is an excellent photographer! We are thankful for those pictures that we didn’t have time to click because we were too busy to stand straight.
Thank you so much for everything, showing us so many things we would have never seen without you, especially all the birds and tiny lizards and the Leopard! On the Knuckles tour we felt very safe with the crew, the guy from the village who geve us sticks, the medical service especially to take care of these discusting leeches, the helping hands of Roshan and Dhanushka (Waterfall). We can highly recommend Paradise Island Safari.
We performed the Adams peak climb yesterday with Dhanushka and co. We did the Moray Estate jungle trail to start, then descended on the stairs - which was amazing! Much better than just going up and down the stairs. His knowledge of the terrain, down to the local flaura and fauna was excellent - we highly recommend doing Adam’s peak with him!
We made a trek in the Knuckles few days ago. We saw a lovely waterfall that we would never have discovered by ourselves without knowing the place really well. Our guide Dhanushka and his local colleague were really nice, and teached us many things. We strongy recommend it !
In july 2017 we went to srilanka with our family! We also did the safari trip in wilpattu and it was really great! We saw all the animals we hoped for to See and the guide told us a lot . He knows everything About all the animals and how they live and that was really Nice! Thank you for this great experience!!! Greetings from family Wouters
My wife and I went for a hiking trip in the Knuckle Mountain Range while we visited Sri Lanka in June, 2017. We were pleasantly surprised to have 3 guides accompanying us for the hike. The team was led by Mr. Dhanushka, with a safety personnel who brought with him a full set of first aid equipment, and a villager who lives near the mountain range. Mr. Dhanushka is a naturalist and he has very good knowledge about the wildlife and vegetation in the mountain range. He knew that I enjoy bird photography when we met, and managed to spot an endemic bird (a yellow-eared bulbul) for me to photograph during the hike. We felt safe too as we were given extra help in the more difficult terrain espec...
Wooooow the safari was such a great experience !!! Awesome driver and guide that led us to see a baby leopard after tracking for a long time !! ... And many other animals! The game drive is amazing !! I loved Wilpattu for its wilderness !! You really feel in the middle of the wild ! Thank you so much for everything !!!
Amazing experience here in Kumana, the team is so nice and so have so much passion for those animals! If you have to do a safari in Sri Lanka definitely come here!
My wife and I did a 22km hike in the Sri Lanka mountains and it was amazing. Dhanushka was our naturalist and guide, and he was great. He’s extremely passionate about nature and he’s an expert when it comes to pointing out birds. He also showed us a great, hidden waterfall, and at the end of the hike we had an amazing home cooked meal with the other guide from the local area. This was one of the best experiences of our trip to Sri Lanka. My wife is a nature-loving animal enthusiast who loves birds, So Dhanushka was great with his on-the-spot knowledge. His love for his country and animals is infectious, and he’s also just an all around great dude to do a long hike with. Highly recommended!
When in Sri Lanka we were fortunate to have Dhanushka Chaminda Kumara Liyanage guiding us on the trails. He had a group of assistants with him. One led the group to make sure we were on the right trail (on what I considered the toughest hike, the leader wore flip flops). His group also included one or two medical assistants / nurses. When one of our group fell they swarmed around her to render aid.
My husband and I spent 9 days birding in Sri Lanka with Dhanushka as our guide. Even in that limited time, which included some breaks for cultural activities, he got us good looks at a stunning variety of birds: more than 175 species, including 30 of the 33 endemics. Thanks to Dhanushka’s persistence and hard work, my camera-loving husband was able to get good photos of almost every species. Dhanushka’s expertise in birds and other wildlife, wide-ranging knowledge, and friendly warmth made this an ultimate birding trip.
