Bird Watching in Horton Plains National Park – Horton Plains National Park is home to 103 bird species which includes the five montane endemic species such as Sri Lanka Whistling Thrush, Sri Lanka Yellow-eared Bulbul, Sri Lanka White Eye, Sri Lanka Warbler & Sri Lanka Dull Blue Flycatcher.
Sri Lanka’s second and third highest peaks, Kirigalpoththa (2388M) and Thotupola (2357M) are found here. Apart from these two traditional loop trail in Horton Plains and Argana pool are ideal places to do the birding.
